Sir Roger Penrose @ the Royal Institution

Last night I saw this famous mathematician dance between his transparencies of 'tilings'. What an occupation to draw and redraw these patterns that made him famous! An entry in Wikipedia proves the point.

What I found most interesting was his reference to the "mystery of the measuring process". When I introduced myself and gave him my card, he said he'd send me something on that topic. Later I found his email address and asked him again.
